Established in 1982 by Myles Quirke, we have amassed an extensive collection of fine hand-knotted rugs from Iran, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and the Caucusus.

We stock new, used and antique rugs and runners, and have an ever changing selection of new stock which includes Afghan made Garous quality (Ziegler designs using all natural dyes, woven using mainly pastel and paler colour shades), fine quality Persian Tabriz in various sizes, and a wide variety of tribal bags and cushions.

We also stock Khotan / Kazak (based on the famous designs of the Caucusus, they are woven using the finest wool and all natural dyes) and are also Afghan made. Many are antique washed which produces a wonderfully soft yet varied colour palette.

We have a substantial collection of old and antique rugs, carpets and runners from areas such as Kashan, Esfahan, Turkoman, Kuba, Belouch, Mashad and Shirvan to name but a few.

Particular highlights of our collection at present include:
  • A magnificent Persian Mashad, completed in 1951 for a member of the Persian royal family by master-craftsman Ahmad Birjandi (who has signed the piece). The carpet measures 4.10 x 3.08 m, and has a knot-count of 18 x 18 . Click here to view

  • A superb Shirvan runner (Caucasian), dating from about 1880, which is in almost perfect condition. It measures 2.65 x 1.00 m, and contains all natural dyes.
